THOMASTON Join Pope Memorial Humane Society for an outdoor art fair this Sunday, June 13, from 12 - 3 p.m. This will be a socially distanced event featuring over 200 donated works of art in a variety of media.
Some featured artists are Peter Ralston, Eric Hopkins, Jamie Wyeth, Neal Parent, Bernard Langlais, Lyn Snow, Ronald Frontin, and Anne Kilham.
There will be a local artists section, a bargain section, and handcrafted objects. Each attendee will receive a free art print.
“This is a fun, all-ages event that features art for everyone!” said Pope Memorial, in a news release.

ROCKPORT Anne Kilham, 83, noted artist, died peacefully in the warmth of her home and love of her son and caregivers, Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1937, Anne grew up on a farm in eastern Massachusetts. She came from a family of creative people: artists, architects, engineers and inventors. Anne attended Colorado College for nursing but ended up “majoring” in mountain climbing. She also attended Putney School (Vermont) and Rhode Island School of Design.
Rockport, Maine has been home for Anne Kilham since 1972. She started her business with handprinted block print notes and postcards that she sold by retail mail order and to local shops. Eventually she moved on to watercolors that capture images of the coast and the islands, inland mountains or lakes, and of course flower gardens. Over the years she has been active in town affairs serving on various committees including Conservation, Comprehensive Plan and others. Anne has been honore
