Long-awaited fast bus link launched

Published: 2:43 PM March 1, 2021    Updated: 4:21 PM March 1, 2021 A long-awaited new bus link between March and St Ives has been launched. - Credit: CAMBRIDGESHIRE & PETERBOROUGH COMBINED AUTHORITY A new bus service between March and St Ives launched today (Monday), calling at Wimblington, Chatteris and Warboys.  Stagecoach is running four round trips a day, with users able to change buses and head on to Cambridge.   An additional bus is also scheduled to leave St Ives for March at 5pm to get people home from medical appointments at Addenbrooke’s.  A long-awaited new bus link between March and St Ives - which is the first fast Fenland bus link - has been launched. New daily bus service launches in the Fens

She says she will continue to press for the CAM network to extend to Chatteris. - Credit: Archant The long-awaited trial of the V2 (Villager 2) bus service linking March and St Ives, which is due to start on March 1, has been welcomed by a Chatteris councillor.  The service will provide an alternative for residents of March, Wimblington, Chatteris and Warboys and offer an extra connection into Cambridge.   Chatteris county councillor Anne Hay said: “I have long been an advocate for better transport services within the rural communities of Cambridgeshire, particularly for the residents of Chatteris.
