Assumption University showcases Augusta student’s research Share WORCESTER, Mass. Anne Guadalupi of Augusta was one of 38 students selected to present an original academic research project at Assumption University’s 27th annual Undergraduate Symposium, held virtually April 19. Guadalupi, a member of the class of 2021, presented “The History and Pathogenicity of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).” She was part of a group of four students who presented their findings related to the general history and pathogenicity of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, commonly known as MRSA, is a gram-positive bacterium resistant to lactam antibiotics, including penicillin and methicillin.
