North Pole friends bring smiles to Aultman Woodlawn patients

Independent staff report JACKSON TWP.  Patients at Aultman Woodlawn got a special visit Friday. Kari Lawson, a physical therapist at the rehabilitation and transitional care center, brought a few friends to make the residents holiday a little brighter. Peeking out the facility s windows, patients were greeted by Chase, a goat dressed as a reindeer, and Buddy, a pony, decked out of the Christmas season.  Dressed as an elf was Lawson s 14-year-old daughter, Kayla. Fellow therapist Anne Eddleman donned a Santa suit.  We just want to brighten their day, Lawson said. Especially with COVID-19, the patients are dealing with injuries and illness and can t be with their families and we are not able to do as much socialization within the facility. We re doing anything we can to make them smile and make their holiday brighter.
