Voters in Vermont were deciding on a constitutional amendment that would protect reproductive rights in the state, including abortion.Other states were also considering measures to regulate reproductive health after the U.S. Supreme Court in June.
Vermont will vote in Tuesday's election on a proposition to fully protect reproductive rights, such as including the right to abortion in the state's constitution.
On election day, Vermont voters will decide whether or not to include Proposition 5, the Reproductive Liberty Amendment, in the Vermont Constitution as the 22nd Article. The Reproductive Liberty Amendment would enshrine reproductive autonomy in the state constitution.
