Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - With much pomp and circumstance, the Thunder Mountain High School Falcons senior volleyball players were feted at home on Friday with flowers, gifts and thanks and then proceeded to defeat a very game Ketchikan Lady Kings team at Falcons gym for the final time, winning 3-0 on set scores of 25-22, 25-16, and 25-20.
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Thunder Mountain volleyball junior Moana Motown Tuvaifale found a seam against the visiting Ketchikan Lady Kings, then found another, and another… recording a game-high 23 service attempts and five aces as the Falcons swept Kayhi 3-0, winning by set scores of 25-12, 25-7 and 25-11.
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Thunder Mountain Falcons volleyball team will host the Ketchikan Kings tonight and Friday. Varsity games are at 6 p.m. (JV 4:30). The Falcons senior night will be at 6 p.m. Friday, with the game following.

(Klas Stolpe) Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau-Douglas and Thunder Mountain girls softball teams met in a cross-town conference clash on Saturday at Melvin Park and the Crimson Bears swept the Falcons, winning 9-1 in the opener and 13-6 in the non-conference night cap.
“The girls played really well,” Juneau-Douglas coach Alexandra Razor said. “I felt like they looked very confident and comfortable. They didn’t really get rattled. In previous seasons we have seen our teams melt or fall apart if the other team gets an advance or starts hitting but our girls did a really good job just playing defense.”
