People marched from the Peace and Friendship Park to the Central Library in Halifax on Tuesday to call for better treatment of Indigenous people in custody, justice reforms and a Mi'kmaw-led fatality inquiry into the deaths of Sarah Rose Denny and Peter Paul.
The five projects are expected to generate 372 megawatts or 1,373 gigawatt hours per year of electricity approximately 12 per cent of Nova Scotia's total energy consumption, the province's procurement administrator said in a news release Wednesday.
