Wild beavers could be reintroduced to Gloucestershire for the first time in 400 years

Once native to the county, Eurasian beavers were hunted to extinction around 400 years ago, but Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust is hoping to reintroduce them with its new Project Beaver appeal launching this May 2023.
