Powerhouse Museum Ultimo: Pitch to turn museum into design hub

Sales, one half of Australian design duo Romance was Born, with co-creator Anna Plunkett, speaks slowly and purposefully, as if to illustrate his very point. “We don’t want to ever make something just for the hell of it,” he says. “If you’re going to make a print, you may as well start with a beautiful artwork – the highest expression of what it can be. Something that is not two-dimensional, something that has meaning. When you use fabric like that it gives a story, an expression.”
