Fencing: Northwestern competes at October North American Cup

A week after placing seventh at Penn State’s Garret Open, Northwestern wrapped up a four-day competition on Sunday at the October North American Cup. The team sent 16 athletes to Orlando — the first stop out of seven other NAC and championship tournaments during the season.  The Wildcats faced off against college, veteran and youth.

Fencing: Northwestern collects top finishes at Temple Open, ranks ninth in preseason poll

Fencing Northwestern competed at the Temple Open this weekend, earning five top-eight finishes and placing ninth in the latest preseason coaches poll. The freshmen led the way for the Cats in the women’s epee, with Anna Damratoski and Karen Wang taking third and Lia Douglas placing eighth. Sophomore Hanna Lipthay finished 13th.  Junior Sky Miller.
