TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State women’s tennis team has a pair of ACC matches this weekend, hosting Wake Forest on Friday and North Carolina State on Sunday. The Seminoles are 6-5 on the season, which includes a 4-1 record at home. Florida State enters this weekend’s matches ranked 48th in the national team rankings. Florida State’s Vic Allen is coming off a 7-6 (3), 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles against Miami. Allen is 14-5 overall and is a perfect 6-0 at No. 2 singles this spring. Junior Ellie Schoppe also claimed a victory 6-4, 6-7, 1-0 (14) in an epic super tiebreaker at No. 4 singles. Junior Anna Arkadanou is ranked 70th in the national singles rankings. Wake Forest is 11-5 on the season and is ranked 19th in the national team rankings. Graduate student Anna Brylin leads the team with 12 wins and is ranked 42nd in the national singles rankings.
