During darkness of COVID, young nurse, Horsham Quaker school provide light

Norval Reece This past year has tested the faith of many people.  We are now one month into 2021 and it’s still hard to recall much that was good about 2020. By nearly all accounts it was a terrible year of unmitigated disruption and chaos punctuated by COVID-19, the economy, race issues, elections, quarantine, unemployment, polarization, etc. I could go on.  Much of the “very bad 2020” continues this year with new COVID variants, a struggling economy, mobs storming the U.S. Capitol, conspiracy theories and impeachment proceedings.  But there have been sparks of light in the darkness. I will mention just two I know about personally: number one, the baptism by fire of a 24-year-old nurse in a COVID-19 ward; number two, the bold faith in the future by a little Quaker school.
