Pug stolen from Kent found 65 miles away in Bexleyheath

Ann Cowlard, 72, had been walking 11-year-old Dora near their home in Lydd, Kent, on 24 February. A man wearing a face mask started talking to Mrs Cowlard before detaching Dora s lead and running off with her. Dora was found in a park in Bexleyheath in south-east London on March 7, and taken to a police station, police said.

Ann Cowlard, 72, was walking her group of dogs around Lydd on Wednesday morning when she came across a stranger in an alleyway. An appeal has been launched to find Mrs Cowlard s stolen pug The man bent down to greet one of her cream-coloured pugs, loosened her collar, and then ran off. The 11-year-old dog, who is hard of hearing and lost half her teeth, has not been seen since despite the best efforts of the police and the Lydd community.
