The latest change came on Thursday when the Bhagwant Mann-led government named Gurminder Singh as the new AG, the third to man the post in the one and half year rule of the Aam Aadmi Party.
The third AG since Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took over the reins of the state in March 2022, Gurminder Singh replaced Vinod Ghai, who is learnt to have tendered his resignation to the state government, citing “personal reasons”, on Wednesday.

Appearing for petitioners Mann, Arora and Baljinder Kaur in the related petition, senior advocates Anmol Rattan Sidhu with Raghav Gulati contended that the offences under sections 147, 149, 332 and 353 of the IPC have to be appreciated in the light of allegations under Section 188 of the IPC which is disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant.
