As a line of severe storms made its way through the Panhandle today, the chances were good for waterspouts off-shore columns of wind and water.
Twitter user @DrA Singh caught one as it sat offshore in Panama City Beach, and kept his phone steady as the apparent waterspout made its way closer and closer to shore.
The Twitter user, whose bio lists him as Ankur Singh, a Georgia Institute of Technology professor of immunology, notes that rip currents were also bad as the spout continued onto the beach.
The National Weather Service has not officially designated any tornado as yet, but there is damage in the Bay County area during a tornado warning.
