Addressing the valedictory function of a two-day legal conference in the capital of Bangladesh, Chandrachud said that constitutions by their nature are blueprints and not detailed, readied recons for all contingencies.

Chief Justice DY Chandrachud said that people's faith in the Constitution rises when Parliament, the Supreme Court, or the Election Commission rise to the occasion in situations of “ambiguity and uncertainty.”
The conference in Bangladesh highlighted the shared tradition of constitutional and judicial systems between India and Bangladesh. It emphasized the importance of stability and constitutions as living documents. The role of mediation in dispute resolution, the changing role of judges, and the close connection between the constitutional courts of both countries were discussed.
