As we celebrate Native American Heritage Month, let us remember the values of bravery, honesty, respect, wisdom, love, humility, and truth, and strive to embody them in our lives year-round, not just during the month of November.

The designation of November as “National American Indian Heritage Month” goes back to a joint congressional resolution signed by President George Herbert Walker Bush in 1990. Over the years, the name shifted to National Native American Heritage Month.
