Apart from the Chief Justice, the Office of the Administrator-General is enjoined by Act 845 to present copies of the 2020 transitional handing-over notes to the Speaker of Parliament, the Council of State and the Public Records and Archives Administration Department (PRAAD).
Editorial: Christmas in political tension; Time to move voting date forward
Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe is the son of God. There is little information about his early life, thus making his birth date unknown. Scholars disagree among themselves on when Jesus was born. Though some Christians celebrate the birthday of Jesus on December 25 every year, others celebrate on or near January 7.
In Ghana, Christmas is one of the times families gather to take stock of the year and refresh themselves for the year ahead. It is such a time when parties upon parties and joyful events are held to entertain each other, especially as offices and various workplaces go on break for some time.
Case against Domelevo powers adjourned indefinitely LISTEN
Daniel Yaw Domelevo
The Supreme Court has adjourned indefinitely the case seeking an interpretation of the extent of the powers of the Auditor General vis-à-vis the Audit Service Board.
This was due to the failure of the four lawyers in the matter to abide by the court s orders to file their joint memorandum of issues.
Wilberforce Mensah, a legal practitioner, wants the highest court to make clear the lines of authority and the degree of independence of the Auditor-General, Daniel Yaw Domelevo following his alleged promise not to abide by any decision taken by the Audit Service Board.
