Online Meeting on Embryo Transfer Technology held in Livestock Punjab
Lahore, January 18, 2021 (PPI-OT): Modern tools like Embryo Transfer and Crossbreeding are essential for better productivity. These views were expressed by Additional Secretary (Technical) Dr. Iqbal Shahid during an online meeting held in Livestock Punjab. The purpose of the meeting was to formulate a strategy for Livestock Breed Improvement and to consult public and private stakeholders in this regard. During the meeting, the Head of Private Semen Production Unit briefed the participants about IVF technology and said that the number of animals with excellent hereditary traits can be increased in a short period of time with the help of this technology.

LAHORE: Governor Chaudhry Sarwar has given a two-month deadline to 12 public universities in Punjab to take up the matter of illegal appointments made during the last 10 years and report to him about them after fixing responsibility.
The governor has forwarded the report of the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab that detected over 4,500 illegal appointments in the universities.
The governor, who is also the chancellor of the public sector universities, directed the VCs to take the matter to their syndicates to ‘investigate and fix responsibility’.
