Animal Farm Adventure Park in Berrow is delighted to be welcoming visitors back after its toughest year ever.
The country park, in Red Road, suffered weeks of storm and flood damage in 2020, followed by lockdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Staff set up fundraising appeals to help feed more than 250 animals on site, including deer, llamas, goats, pigs, wallabies, horses, raccoons, rabbits and foxes.

Berrowâs Animal Farm finds new use for piping recovered from beach
A large section of piping which was recently washed up on Berrow Beach has been recovered and given a new lease of life at nearby Animal Farm Adventure Park.
Sedgemoor District Councilâs Clean Surroundings team has taken away the heavy 20-metre long piping from the beach.
The Clean Surroundings Team cut the pipe into two to remove it – and it is now in its new home, providing some new play equipment for the animals at Animal Farm Adventure Park, who were more than happy to recycle it.
The plastic piping washed up on Berrow Beach THIS large piece of piping washed up on Berrow Beach has been put to good use. Sedgemoor District Council’s Clean Surroundings Team came to the rescue when the extremely heavy piping appeared on the beach. The Friends of Berrow Beach got in touch with the council as they were worried it could cause serious injury if it accidentally rolled onto an unsuspecting toddler or child. Young beachgoers enjoying the beach and sunshine had already been spotted playing on and in it. Additionally, it could have gone back out to sea in the forecast high tides over the next week or so and would haver become a serious floating hazard for small boat or jet skiers.

Burnham-On-Sea MP issues rallying call to support local tourism industry
Burnham-On-Sea MP James Heappey has issued a rallying call to support the tourism and activity industry following visits to several local businesses over the past week.
With outdoor leisure now able to welcome back guests and holiday parks reopening to household groups, Mr Heappey visited two businesses in Sedgemoor following the return of visitors.
The MP visited the owners of Home Farm Holiday Park and Animal Farm Adventure Park to find out how reopening is going and see how things are running.
Mr Heappey said: “It was great to see the holiday parks and excellent local attractions so busy again. The visitor economy is such an important part of our area and we desperately need a strong summer season so that businesses can recover from the pandemic.”
