The Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu would like to remind people that ’12 days of A Christmas Carol’ is continuing at the Mansion House, with Dublin GAA legend Bernard Brogan set to read this evening’s latest chapter.
Each evening a well-known face reads a chapter online from the Dickens story about Ebenezer Scrooge. Denise Chaila read last night’s chapter, bringing the story up to the halfway point.
“Covid has forced us to do things a little differently at the Mansion House this year,” said Lord Mayor Chu. “But I must say I am really enjoying ‘A Christmas Carol’ and I’m looking forward to seeing what Bernard brings to the reading tonight. And there ll be a surprise guest or two along the way.”
The campaign features ads across outdoor sites, print, digital, radio and social platforms.
A video, featuring Dubliners and narrated by poet Stephen James Smith with music by Hudson Taylor, is available at: www.dublin.ie/christmas.
Businesses in the city have been particularly hard-hit by the pandemic, let s support them in the lead up to Christmas, said the Lord Mayor of Dublin Hazel Chu. We all have our favourite shops, cafes, restaurants that are as much a part of Dublin as the Liffey. So stay safe, but please do what you can to support businesses during these challenging times. We re all Dubs, and we all have a part to play in safeguarding the future of our city.
