A bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan noted Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Suryaprakash V Raju's stand of leaving it to the Court to decide the prayer for bail.
The ED argued that it wanted to demonstrate the modus operandi of the offences alleged in the FIR, particularly since the FIR filed by the Maharashtra police formed the basis of the PMLA or ED proceedings against Parab.
The Bombay High Court was hearing a petition filed by Sadanand Kadam, the current owner of the resort, seeking quashing of demolition order issued against the resort, contending that he is being roped into the proceedings due to Mr Parab’s political rivalries.
