The municipal corporation of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar and Bhavnagar in Gujarat are going to polls today. The counting will take place on February 23.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Gujarat today to cast his vote in the municipal corporation election in Ahmedabad, the BJP said.

Ahmedabad: Elections to six municipal corporations in Gujarat were conducted in a peaceful manner amid tight security and adherence to COVID-19 norms on Sunday, in which average voter turnout of around 42 per cent was recorded, officials said.
Polling for a total of 144 wards across six civic bodies- Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar- was held.
The voting process began at 7 am and went on till 6 pm, with the turnout remaining low right from the morning.
