Burlington, IA- The City of Burlington has released an update related to the TIGER Grant project. Starting Tuesday, September 20th, traffic control adjustments will occur on Main Street between Angular Street and Valley Street for TIGER Grant construction. Northbound traffic will return to the regular routing on Main Street, while southbound traffic will be detoured at the Valley Street intersection west to Central Avenue, then south to Angular Street before returning to Main Street at the Angular Intersection. During this closure, temporary gravel access roads will be provided at Division Street and the businesses on the west side of Main Street when work isn't actively taking place in those locations. This closure is expected to last until mid to late November, depending on weather.

Burlington, IA- The City of Burlington has announced more road construction related to the TIGER grant project. Starting Wednesday, March 9th, work will start on the eastern two lanes of Main Street from Angular Street to Valley Street. During this closure, northbound traffic will be detoured to the west at Angular Street, north on Central Ave, and finally east on Valley back to Main Street. Southbound traffic on the main street will be unaffected by this closure. This phase of the project will be in place for about three months.
