Revenue collection growth slows

The revenue collection growth decelerated to 12.63 per cent in Bangladesh in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, driven by the cost-of-living crisis at home and abroad, narrowing the fiscal space for the government, official figures showed.  

Revenue collection crosses Tk 3 lakh crore for first time

Revenue collection grew 15.51 per cent year-on-year to Tk 300,179 crore in the just-concluded fiscal year of 2021-22, according to the provisional data of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
