As summer nears, three Marietta summer camps will be available to keep children engaged, educated, and entertained.
The Ely Chapman Educational Foundation will host its annual Sensational Summer Camp from June 7 to August 13 ages 3-14. The ten week camp is $105 per week with scholarships available through the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS).
The camp will feature a different theme each week, and the children will have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences, work with people from around Marietta and travel to museums. “For bugs’ life, we are trying to acquire butterflies and an ant farm,” said Lori Ullman, executive director at the Chapman Educational Foundation. “For the great space race, we have reached out to the Armstrong Air and Space Museum. The kids are going to be creating their own constellation and putting it in.”
