Dimapur, Oct. 27 (EMN): Director of Agriculture, M Ben Yanthan, has called upon the members of Agriculture Officers’ Association Nagaland (AOAN) to adopt some under-developed villages and areas and impart training to the farmers to enhance productivity. Yanthan, who is also the advisor of AOAN, stated this during the first general session of the association held on October 22 at Angh House located at Agri-Expo site, Chümoukedima. He stated that the primary objective of the association should be to protect the interest and welfare of the members, while not countering any authority or agency and to work responsibly with coordination and transparency. He appealed to the officer bearers to seriously look into the Nagaland Agriculture Service Rules 2016 and review it, which according to him, was essential and need of the hour.
