Dr. Philip Jerald Dugan, 84, former director and founder of the Cleveland and Athens Regional Cancer Centers, the Ocoee Regional Cancer Foundation, and a longtime resident of Birchwood, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021, at home with his family after a courageous one-year battle with MD Syndrome.
A native of Los Angeles, Calif., he graduated from Loyala High School in 1954, later graduating with a bachelor of science degree from Loyola University of Los Angeles in 1958 and St. Louis Medical School in St. Louis in 1963.
Pursuing his medical career, he returned to Los Angeles with an internship at the Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles in 1964, followed by a residency in radiology at the hospital in 1967.

Bogalusa police arrest three teen gang members following death of local man Share Updated: 1:19 PM CST Feb 15, 2021 Share Updated: 1:19 PM CST Feb 15, 2021 The Bogalusa Police Department said three teen gang members are behind bars for their alleged involvement in the death of a 19-year-old man.According to a news release by the department on Feb. 9 officers were dispatched to Our Lady of the Angels Hospital about a man being shot. Investigators said Larmond Godbolt of Bogalusa was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was shot in the 1800 block of Lasley Street in Bogalusa.Police on Thursday said they identified three male juveniles involved in the murder. The department said three suspects are members of the YBF street gang out of Illinois and one of the gang members has ties to Bogalusa. The three juveniles are 15, 16, and 17 years old. Investigators believe armed robbery was the motive. Arrest warrants were obtained on all three juveniles for princi
