Fermanagh Covid-19 test centre s generators relocated following complaints

A mobile testing unit was deployed to the area to maintain testing coverage for the day. This move follows complaints about noise from the generators associated with the operation of the Covid-19 test facility. A resident of a house neighbouring the test centre sent a message to this newspaper, saying how the continuous low frequency and vibration of the diesel generators had impacted her mental health. She said: “We are not getting [to] sleep as the generators run 24/7. There are also the fumes of the generators that seep into our home. They even rattle our triple-glazed windows. “We have been in contact with different agencies, and because we are the only residential house nearby, no-one seems to be in any hurry to help,” she told this newspaper.
