As quarantine measures across the globe have shut schools and daycare facilities, it s often women who shoulder the burden of balancing work with childcare and homeschooling.
This International Women s Day (March 8), Tearfund and Compassion s child sponsorship programme wanted to honour this strength and resilience, inviting 12 women, aged 18 to 91, all connected by the beauty of sponsorship, to sit for a portrait and a conversation about their experiences of Covid-19 with photojournalists from around the world.
