ANGELICA — Two decades and two years ago the nation watched as hundreds of first responders rushed on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York —
Angelica Fire and Rescue assisted NYSP with traffic control around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday after a tractor-trailer carrying cattle overturned on I-86 in the Town of West Almond.

WEST ALMOND Frances Lillian Struble was determined to live out her life on the West Almond property where she spent many of her happiest years.
Raised in West Almond, Struble, who would have turned 80 next month, turned down offers from her son, Robert Struble of Charlotte, N.C., to move south and live with him.
Robert Struble also said he offered to buy his mother a different house in West Almond where she could live out her life and maintain her independence.
She was not having it.
