Eight award recipients in the social services field were recognized at the 15th Annual Passionate Heart Awards, celebrated virtually this year.

A land-use bylaw change passed Monday at the Grande Prairie City Council meeting removes the more stringent requirements of being labelled “discretionary use,” permitted in certain areas of the city.
“Council supports getting people back to work, as well as creating jobs. If organizations are able to invest, develop and expand within our region it is of great value,” Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton said. “So, anything that safely allows businesses to get back to work, council would like to support.”
