Suffolk theatres and museums get help to survive lockdown | East Anglian Daily Times

Ray Anderson, director, Spa Pavilion said: “This latest grant will be vital as we once again prepare to re-open and put on our wide variety of shows in Felixstowe. It guarantees that we can look forward with confidence to what will undoubtedly be a challenging period, and we thank both the Arts Council and all of our loyal customers and ticketholders from the bottom of our hearts for their support through these most demanding and unusual of times.”  Funding from the Cultural Recovery Grant will support Spa Pavilion with an investment in a new range of shows for 2021, from writing to rehearsals, musical arrangements, scenery building and wardrobe creation. The theatre also plans to reschedule community events where the venue is provided at a reduced or free hire cost.

Mia Jones, 2, took out first prize in the girls final with an outfit bought entirely from the Hospice Shop in Richmond. Mum, Carla Jones from Fielding, said the outfit cost under $10, dressing the toddler from “head to toe” in a Charleston inspired outfit, complete with bags and hairband. Winner from last year’s Fashion in the Field, Julie Penman came third this year with her Chinese and dragon inspired skirt and top. Penman said she made the outfit from Spotlight material with the dragons on her top prompting her to make a hat topped with toy dragons. She won the Best Hat category.
