Throughout 2019 and 2020, the state continued to give Wesley money in increments, primarily at the urging of Dover lawmakers like Lynn and Rep. Colin Bonini, R-Dover, a Wesley graduate. That is close to 50 acres in downtown Dover in a disadvantaged neighborhood, and is an anchor for the economy and the communities, Bonini said in a January 2020 interview. Wesley is a minority-serving institution. So we re talking about a lot of kids who would not otherwise have had an opportunity.
