FORT WORTH, Texas – Kansas volleyball (7-10, 6-9 Big 12) knocked off host TCU (1-14, 1-11 Big 12) in four sets (25-14, 20-25, 25-19, 25-14) in the first of two matches at Schollmaier Arena this weekend.
The Jayhawks were led on offense by Jenny Mosser, Ayah Elnady and Caroline Crawford, who each tallied double-digit kills. Mosser had a match-high 16 kills on 33 attempts with only one error, while Elnady finished with 15 kills and 11 digs for a double-double. Crawford recorded 11 kills and led Kansas with two solo blocks and seven block assists.
Kansas and TCU opened the first set trading points until it was tied at 4-all. Three-consecutive attack errors by TCU gave Kansas the momentum it would never relinquish. The Jayhawks pushed their lead to five before the Horned Frogs started to chip away at the lead following a kill by Julia Adams. Elnady answered the call and tallied a kill for the next point.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Anezka Szabo and Caroline Crawford led the Jayhawk offense with nine kills each as KU takes three-straight sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-13) from 2020-21 Sun Belt Champion Texas State on Friday evening at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.
The victory was the first three-set sweep for the Jayhawks since Nov. 6, 2019, when KU defeated Texas Tech in Lawrence.
The Jayhawks improved to 6-10 on the season.
Texas State jumped out to and early two-point advantage in the first set but Kansas went on a five-point run to capture the lead and never relinquished it the rest of the set.
The two teams traded points fairly evenly throughout before KU made a four-point run that started with Jenny Mosser recording back-to-back kills to push the score to 17-14. Two points later, Crawford recorded a service ace. The Bobcats pulled within four before KU finished the set with back-to-back points.
IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 conference announced the recipients of the 2021 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award – the conference’s highest academic honor – on Wednesday. In total, 121 student-athletes were recognized. Kansas led the Big 12 with 18 honorees.
