Panic Attack, is in development with a film about the Polish war hero Tadeusz Kościuszko, under the working title
Scarborn.
Shooting is scheduled to begin next year. Leszek Bodzak and Aneta Hickinbotham from Aurum Film, the company behind Oscar-nominated
Corpus Christi, will be producing. The script was written by Michał A. Zieliński.
The film received project development funding from the Polish Film Institute. The final budget has not been announced. The search for international coproduction partners is currently underway.
Scarborn will follow the story of Tadeusz Kościuszko, a trusted ally of General George Washington and a colonel of the US Continental Army, who returns to his homeland years later with his friend, former slave Jean Lapierre, known as Domingo. Together, they take up the fight to liberate Poland from the oppressive feudal system, the climax of which is a national uprising against the Russian Empire

Polish director Paweł Maślona (“Panic Attack”) is prepping a lavish period drama about the American Revolutionary War hero Tadeusz Kościuszko.
Produced by Leszek Bodzak and Aneta Hickinbotham for Aurum Film, the production house behind Jan Komasa’s Oscar-nominated “Corpus Christi,” the historical epic with the working title “Scarborn,” from a script by Michał A. Zielinski received development funding from the Polish Film Institute. Aurum is now searching for international co-production partners, with an eye toward filming in 2022.

Polish cinemas are officially closed at least until 18 January, but it’s highly unlikely that they will open their doors to the general public any time soon. As the VoD audience keeps on growing, broadcasters such as Canal+ are working on developing and producing fresh, local content. The Polish branch of the international juggernaut is launching the sixth edition of the Canal+ Series Lab, a training programme for European screenwriters, directors and producers who are working on series. The digital starting pistol will be fired on 11 January for four carefully selected projects. They are:
