At 24th and bartlett with the latest. Cate. Reporter we are still trying to piece together the details of what happened but we can show you the scene right here. We see that this bus stop may have been the location. Its taped off with caution signs and you can see those back glass windows are no longer there. Earlier, though, right around midnight this area looked different. Those glass windows were shattered into pieces all over the ground. Police had set up evidence markers for shell casings and people who live in the area very active on social media reported hearing some gunshots and seeing someone taken away in an ambulance and this area right here 24th and mission no stranger to incidents like these. Two men were shot at this same area just less than a month ago. We are waiting to confirm details with San Francisco police. Well continue to keep you updated as we get more information. Live from the cbs bay area studios this is kpix5 news. And we have breaking news. Brushfire at the summit on 17, a lot of people coming home from a Labor Day Weekend at the beach drove straight into this about a 1 2 hour ago. The fire started along the side of the road at the summit of highway 17. Our betty yu and her photographer jim flanagan drove right by it. In fact, here is a live look. You can see all of the fire trucks. Firefighters are mopping up hotspots right now. They had the fire out in about 30 minutes, but you can still see smoke rising in a few spots theres smoldering. This is what it look like a bit earlier today. Flames were shooting up everywhere and spreading pretty rapidly. Its still in the 70s out there right now, but luckily hardly any wind danger, power lines across the highway from where the fire was burning. Highway 17 northbound is shut down right now. We arent sure when it will reopen. We dont know how it got started, but this fire is just about out. What you
