Primary school teacher Fiona Beal has denied murdering her partner Nicholas Billingham in November 2021, claiming she is guilty of manslaughter due to her mental state at the time of the incident. The Crown alleges Beal got Billingham to wear an eyemask before stabbing him in the neck in their Northampton home.
Fiona Beal s neighbour told Northampton Crown Court that the 49-year-old had appeared happy in the weeks leading up to the death of her long-term partner Nicholas Billingham in 2021.
