Students in the Renfrew County Catholic District’s Madawaska area schools are sharing the joy of winter fun and warming their hearts with kindness and unconditional love.
At George Vanier Catholic School in Combermere, students and staff have been embracing the gift of winter by snowshoeing, constructing snow forts and building mazes. The outdoor learning continues even when the whiteboard markers freeze up, said Anne Marie Landon, principal.

“We are printing and drawing in the snow, counting snowballs and blue jays, and trying to figure out which tree our friend squirrel is living in,” she said.
