Claremont Farm, near Bebington, was given a licence to sell alcohol between 11am and 11pm and host film and music nights during the same hours by Wirral Council s Licensing Panel. There were seven letters of representation from local residents, who had concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and public nuisance. However, Andrew Pimbley, the applicant, said no one complained about events held last year with a temporary events notice. Mr Pimbley added that on the cinema nights no noise would be produced as people listen to the films wearing headphones.

A Wirral farm will be able to host regular cinema nights as well as musical performances after plans were approved.
CINEMA returns to the great outdoors thanks to Storyhouse Chester – with the longest and largest Moonlight Flicks season yet. The big screen entertainment opens on the late May Bank Holiday weekend and will take place at three venues across the region. Open-air cinema is back in Chester Cathedral’s Dean’s Field for a second year, as well as at Claremont Farm in Wirral, where there was a sell-out season of screenings last October. And this year there is a new addition to the summer season, with Snugburys Ice Cream at Park Farm near Nantwich joining the Moonlight Flicks film family. It will host cinematic favourites on Saturday evenings from July 3 to August 28.
