In a big “tin shed” on the outskirts of Wee Waa in north-west NSW, stands a business that has been helping spread the Gospel for generations.
Agies Rural Retail is a one-stop shop for agricultural supplies.
Last year, Agies gave more than $450,000 to 23 different Christian ministries.
It started in 1978 when a small group of Christian farmers bought 67 per cent of Agies Rural Retail Store.
They decided to use all profits from their share to fund Christian ministries.
Chairman, Andrew McClenaghan, told Eternity News the three-year drought was bad for Wee Waa, Australia’s “Cotton Capital” – but after double volumes of rainfall in 2020 and a bumper harvest, he’s hoping the store will have even more to give to Gospel work.
