On Monday, while I waited to appear at the Senate inquiry into media diversity in parliament house, Canberra, Malcolm Turnbull was skewering News Corp with all the skills heâs acquired in courts of law and houses of parliament. He was a tough act to follow.
The former PM accused News Corp of everything from intimidation to terrorism and said theyâd gone from being a traditional news organisation to a political party, adding: âBut a party with only one member.â
IT was possibly one of the most surreal moments I have ever experienced. As the years go by, I wonder if it is all a figment of an addled imagination. Or perhaps my mind has deliberately parked it somewhere out of harm’s way so as not to trouble my equilibrium.
