This week’s AVQ&A is inspired by reader Steve LeGrow’s question:
I have a suggestion, but I’m not entirely sure how to explain it without giving an example first. When I was 9 years old, I purchased
The Blue Album by Weezer and would listen to it constantly while playing Super Mario Bros 2 on the NES. To this day (I’m 35 now) I can’t hear that album without thinking of that game, and vice versa. It’s a win-win for me, because I genuinely love both of them. I was wondering if anyone else links two entirely separate pieces of art together like that, for better or for worse.
Homestuck Creator Andrew Hussie Reveals Trailer for Mystery Game
✖
Homestuck creator Andrew Hussie has pulled back the curtain on a new visual novel that he is currently writing and illustrating. A title for the project has not yet been revealed, and the trailer is simply named Trailer. The official
Homestuck Twitter account has confirmed that this visual novel does not take place in the same universe, so fans should keep that in mind when watching the new trailer. While that might be a little disappointing, Hussie s involvement alone should make this the kind of thing that
Homestuck fans will want to keep an eye on, as more information is revealed!

In a new trailer that is simply named “Trailer,” Andrew Hussie has revealed a new visual novel he’s working on that isn’t Homestuck-related.
The trailer itself is pretty chaotic. There’s a couple of characters, but most notably there is a juggalo (as in an Insane Clown Posse fan, yes) character who is presented with some options, while on an aircraft carrier. In front of him stands Hideo Kojima, the Insane Clown Posse duo, and Post Malone. The text saying “This doesn’t actually happen in the story,” appears between frames. So thanks for . showing us that, Hussie, I guess?
