The rumor mill keeps spinning as analysts try to figure out which team Jets’ quarterback Sam Darnold will be traded to. The 49ers and Bears have been discussed a lot, though it’s been nothing more than speculation thus far. While that’s been going on, the other part of the NFL QB carousel has been discussion as to who will become the Jets new quarterback. Justin Fields, Zach Wilson, and Deshaun Watson have been the names primarily tossed around, though one of the two prospects seems to be the one most likely to be wearing green and white in 2021. It’s officially been one week since the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes is back clocking in.
Mahomes was surely disappointed by his team’s performance in the 31-9 loss to the Buccaneers last Sunday night. The superstar MVP was under fire all game, rarely having time to make a throw. Tampa Bay’s defense very much got the best of the Kansas City offense.
The Chiefs quarterback doesn’t want that to happen again. Mahomes is already getting back to work.

J.J. Watt is officially hitting the open market.
The former Houston Texans star was released by his longtime franchise on Friday. Houston has decided to release Watt, letting him enter free agency ahead of the 2021 season.
“I have sat down with the McNair family and I have asked them for my release, and we have mutually agreed to part ways at this time,” Watt said in a video posted to Twitter. “I came here 10 years ago as a kid from Wisconsin who’d never really been to Texas before. And now I can’t imagine my life without Texas in it. The way that you guys have treated me, besides draft night. I mean, you guys booed me on draft night. But every day after that, you treated me like family. And I truly feel like you’re my family.
The J.J. Watt era came to an end in Houston on Friday. The Texans officially released the longtime franchise star earlier this week. Watt has been released and is able to hit free agency.
