The McLaren Artura could prove to be the carmaker’s best-selling model and shortly after we had the opportunity to check it out in person at McLaren North Jersey, Doug DeMuro has also had the opportunity to check it out in person.
DeMuro’s overview of the replacement to the 570S starts in the cabin where some significant changes have been made compared to other McLaren models. One of the most obvious alterations is the fitment of a new infotainment screen that floats out from the rest of the dashboard.
Another neat feature of the Artura are the bucket seats that can actually be tilted back and forth, not something you’ll find on many seats like these. Speaking of the seats, there is also an odd storage pouch at the front of the driver’s seat.
McLaren’s new Artura, the car that’s meant to herald a new age for the British automaker, has finally arrived, and along with it comes a list of firsts for the company. The supercar has only been out for less than a week but we were able to get a look at not only the first one in the United States, but also one of the first in a setting other than a professional studio.
The car was at McLaren North Jersey at the time of our visit last week, but right now it’s currently visiting another dealership in Connecticut. It’s worth noting that finding adequate space to take photos of the car was somewhat of a challenge, but we tried to capture it as best as we could.
