Team Ipsley voted top Breakfast Club | Redditch Advertiser

A Redditch school has been crowned the best in the West Midlands in the annual Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Awards. And the club organisers, who developed a ‘space-man’ idea to help children through the pandemic, are obviously ‘over the moon’ to win. Team Ipsley Breakfast Club was voted by a panel of judges, winning the a cash prize of £1,000 to spend on the club, as well as a special party pack for the children to celebrate. The judges were impressed by Team Ipsley’s commitment to ensure every child has breakfast to start their day and their ability to adapt to regulations during the pandemic impressed the panel.

Cereal and spacemen for breakfast at Redditch school

A school in Redditch has been chosen as a finalist for the West Midlands as part of the annual Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Awards. If it wins, Team Ipsley Breakfast Club will receive a £1,000 cash prize, plus a special party pack to help them celebrate. The Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Awards champion the people and activities that make Breakfast Clubs so great – from inspirational volunteers to invaluable extra learning sessions. Around 20 children attend Team Ipsley Breakfast Club every morning before school. Andrew Duffin and Sue Mason providing the children with a daily breakfast and monitor their emotional health. Andrew created a spaceman mood board for the children, where they would move their spaceman up towards the moon depending on how positive they were feeling that morning before school.
