any kind of casualty is really depressing, frankly. we re hoping that there won t be any judge casualties as well. just from talking to some people that are just all ages here, even young people. so i guess we ll find out at some point a little more on the casualties or injuries. andrew, is the scene emptying out as emergency response crews have sort of finished their work in terms of getting the injured to safety or is the scene still getting more crowded as people are staging there for the press conference and other things? yeah, right now you have most of the stead airport has cleared out. all the spectators have since left. of course, it s a big mess as far as traffic lefrg the airport leaving the airport a few hours ago. now it is media personnel, and law enforcement officials waiting for the governor to speak. but really i would say three
dozen people here in this media center kind inform a corner of the airport. but the rest of the airport really not a lot going on. a lot of people have since gone home tonight. andrew delgreco awaiting this press conference with us. thank you very much. again, we re awaiting a press conference on scene at reno stead airport. nevada s governor is due on scene in moments. we just heard from sheriff s deputy that once the governor is there, they ll start the press conference to give us the update. it is cold and it is gory but it is true. one of the things we re waiting on right now to understand the scope of this disaster in reno is the number of people who were killed and injured. the number of confirmed dead so far is three. the only person identified is the pilot, the 80-year-old pilot of this aircraft, jimmy leeward. in terms of the plane that mr.
hospitals. yeah, word is that the hospitals have called in extra personnel. they re all stacked up. there are three hospitals in the reno area. we re hearing that they re asking for blood donors right now. type o blood is what they re looking for right now. but no doubt this is an unprecedented incident that will go down in history here in northern nevada. the regional hospital that s are involved here that we know of, northern nevada medical center in sparks, nevada, renoun health center and st. mary s regional medical receiving patients from the airfield northern nevada medical center received nine patients, renoun 22. that is the health center confirming two spectator fatalities in addition to the pilot fatality. we do not yet have a patient count from st. mary s regional. i do not know if there is a count at this point. andrew, in terms of the way that this has unfolded on the ground, there are some reports that in
