After a successful, yet extended, weekend, in Indianapolis, the Orlando Solar Bears returned to the Sunshine State this week, hoping to end the road trip and start the month of May on a good note.
Well, about that.
After a reminder that the pandemic is still going on, the Solar Bears returned home, only to be dominated by division rival South Carolina. But they did manage to get one win.and the Magic jerseys were sweet? Read on for the week that was.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Six different scorers and 33 saves from goaltender Alex Dubeau propelled the South Carolina Stingrays (22-18-9-3) to their second straight road victory Friday night in a defeat of the Orlando Solar Bears (28-20-4-1) by a score of 6-2 at the Amway Center.
Forward Caleb Herbert led the way with a goal and two assists, while Brett Supinski picked up three assists, and both Matthew Weis (1g, 1a) and captain Andrew Cherniwchan (2a) each had multi-point nights.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Liam Pecararo scored twice in the third period to push the visiting Greenville Swamp Rabbits (24-15-9-3) past the South Carolina Stingrays (20-17-9-3) by a 4-2 score on Friday night at the North Charleston Coliseum.

Both Stingrays goals were scored in the second period by linemates Justin Florek and Andrew Cherniwchan, while goaltender Alex Dubeau got the start and made 31 saves in a losing effort.

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – Matthew Weis scored to force overtime late in the third with an extra attacker on the ice, but the South Carolina Stingrays (20-16-9-3) ultimately fell in the extra session to the visiting Jacksonville Icemen (22-19-3-3) by a final score of 3-2 on Wednesday night at the North Charleston Coliseum.
