The blue cut fire and has been going strong for 36 hours. The latest numbers show 25,000 acres have burned, fire crews are trying to assess the Property Damage but a number of homes have been lost. Here is video from earlier this evening before it got dark. Firefighters said there was nothing they could have done to stop the advancing claims. The local battalion chief in San Bernardino told the l. A. Times, we got our butts kicked. Another said they were no match for the combination of wind, dry vegetation and steep terrain. Tens of thousands of people in the area have been ordered to evacuate. Some of them wont have homes to return to. It was devastating. A lot of homes lost yesterday. pulitzer surprise winning depiction of the horrors of holocaust. john lewis understood the power of the graphic novel very well. he coauthored, the march trilogy, about his experiences during the civil rights movement. and the sequel to the series is run. its first volume, just finished, as lewis died in 2020. lewis himself attended several comic-con s to promote his graphic novels, leading children on a children s march in 2015. louis attended his final comic-con in 2017. this weekend, i attended a panel featuring loses grandfather, john lewis, and a children s march with voter restriction was held in his honor at the end. for more, i m joined by andrew aiden, former adviser to late congressman john lewis and coauthor of lewis s last graphic novel, run book one. the march trilogy as well. thank you so much for joining me this evening. thank you so much for having me, jason. good to be with you.

a police officer stopped a mercedes sedan which you saw just there. the sedan reportedly had a brake light that was not working. the driver of that car was 50-year-old walter scott. you see him on the right in that family photo. we don t know the exact circumstances of what happened after the immediate police stop but mr. scott ended up at some point, running from the police officer that stopped him. the police officer chased mr. scott on foot. that north charleston policeman fired eight shots as he pursued walter scott across a grassy lot in charleston. he was shot multiple times and died of his injuries. the officer s attorney told the local paper that the officer used his taser on mr. scott in this encounter, but that it had not subdued him. walter scott tried to overpower the officer and take his taser away from him. the attorney said the officer felt threatened and that he followed all proper procedures before firing his gun eight times at walter scott. that was the ne
