Siret Kotka, deputy chair of the Social Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu and a member of the Center Party, who owns several apartments in Tallinn, lives in a rented flat and collects her housing allowance from the Chancellery of the Riigikogu.
The Center Party parliamentary group announced on Monday that it is joining the opposition Conservative People's Party of Estonia (EKRE) in submitting a motion of no confidence against Minister of Education and Research Liina Kersna (Reform). The no-confidence motion will be submitted on Tuesday.

Center Party whip Jaanus Karilaid has entered into Riigikogu proceedings the Child and Family Benefits Act bill aimed at supporting children with families. The bill is missing the signatures of MPs of Center's coalition partner the Reform Party.
The Center Party wants to break up the current coalition and form a new government with EKRE, Prime Minister Kaja Kallas (Reform) said at a press conference on Thursday, suggesting this is the motive behind a new bill for €300 million increase in family benefits. She said a vote of no-confidence should be held but her preference is that the coalition continues.
